In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a Russian citizen was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Tysmenytsia District Court of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast has found the head of the TRC, Vitaliy S., guilty of exceeding his authority by mobilizing a Russian citizen for military service.
For this administrative offense, the lieutenant colonel was fined 17,000 UAH.
As stated in the ruling published in the court registry, on February 6, 2025, the acting head of one of the TRCs, Vitaliy S., sent a foreigner who does not have Ukrainian citizenship for a medical commission, after which he registered him for military service and included him in the lists of those mobilized for deployment to a military unit.
The case materials state that the lieutenant colonel checked the man’s documents and knew he was a foreigner and not subject to conscription for military service in Ukraine, yet he still ordered him to be sent for the medical commission and mobilized. The court ruling stated that the man is a citizen of Russia.
