Forbes: The most combat-ready brigades of the AFU have left Kursk region
Some Ukrainian brigades, including the most combat-ready ones, have left the Kursk region. This was preceded by a series of precise strikes by Russian drones that disabled dozens of Ukrainian vehicles along the main road to Sudzha.
This is reported by Forbes.
As the publication notes, Sudzha is a city that was or still is the main base for the 10,000-strong Ukrainian army, which occupies a significant but quickly diminishing salient in the Kursk region in western Russia.
"It was the day you started worrying about Kursk," wrote independent analyst Andrew Perpetua.
Two weeks later, it seems that the main part of the Ukrainian forces, including some of the most combat-ready brigades of the Ukrainian army, evacuated from Kursk and moved to the Ukrainian side of the border.
"My friends managed to leave Kursk, avoiding encirclement," stated a Ukrainian source on Monday. "It’s sad that it came to this. But it is what it is."
