In Kyiv, a scheme for transporting draft dodgers across the border for 12 thousand dollars was uncovered

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers uncovered another scheme for smuggling draft evaders across the border. An official from one of the capital’s TRCs, together with the head of a public organization, was producing "white tickets" for conscripted men for a reward.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police. The suspects face up to 10 years in prison.

"A criminal scheme was uncovered involving an official from one of the capital’s TRCs and SSs and an accomplice — the head of a public organization, who organized the illegal smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine by producing fake military registration documents. The figures facilitated draft-age individuals in obtaining ’white tickets’ for a monetary reward of 12 thousand dollars, allowing them to avoid military service," the report says.

The perpetrators were detained while receiving money – they turned out to be a 56-year-old and a 59-year-old resident of the capital. During searches, they seized military registration and medical documentation, mobile phones, a laptop, bank cards, seals, cash in different currencies, and rough notes.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact, and the detainees have been notified of the suspicion.
