The State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches at the former deputy head of the Presidential Administration and former state commissioner of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) conducted searches at Oleksiy Filatov, the former deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine during Petro Poroshenko’s tenure, as well as Svetlana Panaiotidi, the former state commissioner of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
According to media reports from law enforcement agencies, both cases are linked to the transfer of ownership of the Ukrainian section of the "Samara - Western Direction" oil product pipeline to a company owned by Viktor Medvedchuk. The investigation claims that this process was facilitated by Poroshenko, who was allegedly the actual recipient of the profits from owning the pipeline.
Investigators note that Svetlana Panaiotidi executed necessary decisions to implement the scheme through the Antimonopoly Committee under the directives of the Presidential Administration. Alexey Filatov was allegedly responsible for organizing judicial decisions that allowed the implementation of this scheme.
Panaiotidi herself confirmed the search in her home, noting that it lasted seven hours.
Meanwhile, Petro Poroshenko denies any connection with Medvedchuk regarding the oil product pipeline and rejects all allegations.
