Every month, Ukraine produces up to 36 self-propelled artillery systems "Bohdana".

This is reported by Army Technology.

According to the data from the Defence Procurement Agency, Ukraine increased the production of the 155mm SAU "Bohdana" 2S22 from six units per month in 2023 to over 20 in 2025. However, citing its own sources, Army Technology reports the production of up to 36 such systems monthly.

85% of the components for the "Bohdana" are already manufactured in Ukraine. This figure is planned to be increased to 95% by the end of the year.

As the publication emphasizes, the development of domestic weapon systems is becoming increasingly important for Ukraine as partner stocks are depleted and battlefield losses rise.

According to Army Technology’s analysis, from the time of Russia’s large-scale invasion in February 2022 until mid-2024, Ukraine has been supplied with over 800 artillery systems of various calibers, including British AS90s, German PzH2000s, Swedish Archers, French CAESARs, and American M777s.

"Bohdana" is a 155mm self-propelled artillery system with a firing range of 42 km and is the first NATO-caliber howitzer manufactured in Ukraine. Its production, in particular, is funded by Western partners through the "Danish model". The first prototype of the 2S22 "Bohdana" was presented to the public during the 27th Independence Day parade of Ukraine held in Kyiv in August 2018.
