Ukrainian TRCs annually receive up to 2 billion euros in bribes, - MP Mykysha

Ukrainian Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) may be involved in corruption schemes with multibillion-dollar shadow turnovers.

This was stated by Member of Parliament from the "Servant of the People" party, Dmytro Mykysha.

According to him, experts estimate the volume of bribery in the TRCs to be between 0.8 to 2.1 billion euros per year. The money is reportedly paid for deferring mobilization, exemptions, expedited data entry, or "turning a blind eye" to certain cases.

"It’s about not being enlisted, getting an exemption, enrolling a bit later, having your case ignored for a certain period, having your case file moved from the top of the pile to the bottom, updating data faster – they name a certain amount," Mykysha noted.

The MP added that such amounts indicate a large-scale systemic problem, which requires urgent anti-corruption reforms in the TRCs.
