In Uzhhorod, a 16-year-old boy jumped out of a dormitory window because of the NMT

In Uzhhorod, a 16-year-old teenager jumped from the sixth floor of the cultural and arts institute dormitory. Doctors tried to save his life, but unfortunately, due to the severe injuries sustained, the teenager died.

In his room, a piece of paper was found in the phone case with the phone’s password and the words "You’ll find everything there," journalist Vitaliy Hlahola noted in his  Telegram channel.

Police spokesperson Hanna Dan in a comment to local media confirmed the death of the teenager, who was a second-year student in the theater department and was from Khust. 

Hlahola emphasized that today the boy was taking the national multi-subject test. He noted that shortly before the suicide, during a break, the teenager told his classmates, "I probably didn’t pass it. Didn’t pass the NMT."

The journalist indicates that, according to law enforcement, a farewell video was found on the teenager’s phone, in which he explained why he wanted to jump out of the window. He was convinced he hadn’t passed the NMT and was deeply disappointed because of this, and he asked his parents for forgiveness for his impending action.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of this tragedy.
