Pay attention to Belarus — this summer Russia is planning something there under the guise of military maneuvers, noted Zelenskyy, according to information from Clash Report.

It should be noted that this year significant Russian-Belarusian military maneuvers Zapad-2025 are scheduled to take place in Belarus. However, they will be held not in the summer, but in September.

Considering that Russian troops were amassing forces for the invasion of Ukraine in 2022 under the pretext of previous military maneuvers in Belarus, the exercises planned for this year also raise concerns both in Ukraine and in NATO countries neighboring Belarus.

However, there is an opinion that the main goal of the maneuvers is precisely to provoke such alarming expectations in order to prompt Ukraine to redeploy additional troops from the front to the border with Belarus.

«If Ukraine is forced to concentrate part of its reserves, it will have fewer forces and capabilities to defend its territories on the front line and to liberate its lands. I think this might be the plan of both Putin and his ally Lukashenko», stated one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition, Pavel Latushko.
