The Verkhovna Rada voted for new prices for administrative services

On Thursday, June 5, the Verkhovna Rada approved in the first reading bill №4380 on the introduction of an administrative fee, which aims to systematize the payment for administrative services.

The developers of the law claim that it will help local budgets cover the costs of maintaining CASs– centers for providing administrative services, which currently often operate at a loss.

"The main reason for this problem is that concerning most administrative services, there are insufficient compensatory payments (for example, 13.60 UAH for registration of a place of residence), or symbolic payments (for marriage registration – a state fee of 85 kopecks, ’local notary’ – 17 and 34 kopecks, etc.), or they are completely free for consumers (registration of businesses, land plots, etc.)," the explanatory note states.

The bill, adopted in the first reading, defines about one and a half hundred core administrative services, most of which are proposed to be made chargeable (minimum rate - 20 UAH). For example, the registration of businesses and land plots, which were previously free, will cost 100-200 UAH, and the fee for marriage registration will increase from the current 85 kopecks to 200 UAH.

A 25% discount is provided for electronic services.

The sizes of the administrative fee will be reviewed at least once every three years.

Social and pension services, as well as services for minors, will remain free of charge.
