Exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers between Ukraine and Russia will take place next week - Budanov

The start of the repatriation activities, which are the result of the negotiations in Istanbul, is scheduled for next week – from June 9 to 15.

This information was reported on Telegram by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Budanov noted that Ukraine is facing informational pressure and attempts to impose the exchange process unilaterally.

«We are strictly adhering to the agreements reached in Istanbul. The question of who, when, and how to exchange cannot be decided unilaterally. Preparations are ongoing. Pressure and manipulation in this situation are unacceptable», the statement said.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the Coordination Staff is actively working on organizing the exchange based on the agreements reached. The start of the repatriation activities, according to the results of the negotiations in Istanbul, is planned for next week. According to Budanov, responsible parties were informed back on Tuesday, June 3.
