Launched fewer than 100 rockets: Israel summed up the attack, footage of the aftermath appeared

"In the last hour, two series of ground-to-ground missiles were launched from Iran into Israeli territory. Less than 100 missiles were fired," Defrin noted.

He clarified that most of the missiles were intercepted by air defence systems. Some also failed to reach their targets.

"There are several hits on buildings, some caused by fragments of intercepted missiles," the IDF representative reported.

He urged Israelis to continue being responsible and adhere to safety rules.

"This is another testament to the necessity of an operation aimed at eliminating the threat. We will not allow Iran to strengthen and produce missiles in quantities that could pose a threat to the existence of the State of Israel," Defrin added.

The IDF representative strongly urged the country’s citizens to stop posting information about hit locations, as such information helps Iran.

Meanwhile, the Chief of the General Staff and IDF commanders continue to manage the operation, assess the situation, and prepare for what may happen next.

"Further interceptions are possible, and we are taking measures to eliminate this threat," he pointed out.
