The Russian Federation used a "Shahed" with a camera, radio control, and AI for the first time – Beskrestnov

Russia used a kamikaze drone "Shahed" for the first time, equipped with a camera, a direct radio control system from Russian territory, and an artificial intelligence module (including machine vision).

This was reported by the Ukrainian UAV and communications expert Serhiy Beskrestnov (call sign "Flash").

According to the expert, information about the development of such a drone modification had been known for a long time, but this is the first confirmed combat application.

The direct radio control system, via a special modem, allows controlling the drone at a distance of up to 150 km from the Russian border or the front line. If air relays are used – even at greater distances deep into Ukrainian territory.
