These antennas are currently manufactured in Russia, and the CRPA antenna was developed in the early 2000s by an engineer in Ukraine.

One of the two Russian engineers responsible for the development of CRPA antennas for Shahed-type drones has already died. This was reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defene, Kyrylo Budanov.

"What’s new? They are improving CRPA antennas, moving to sixteen-channel ones. These antennas are now being produced in Russia, but this CRPA antenna was developed here in Ukraine by an engineer. It wasn’t needed by anyone in the early 2000s, so he went to Russia. Now one of them (development engineers - ed.) has tragically died somehow, and one is still alive. Well, probably not for long," said the head of the GUR.

A CRPA antenna is a special navigation GNSS antenna capable of providing high-quality positioning of a drone in space even under conditions of active radio jamming. EW does not affect the navigation of the UAV, and it can fly to the target.

Such antennas have previously been found in Iranian drones Shahed-136, Russian reconnaissance drones Orlan-10, and SuperCam.
