A Russian missile destroyed the vehicle fleet of the capital’s carrier: Kyiv residents were left without popular bus routes

As a result of the Russian attack, nearly all the buses providing circular transportation in the area of the Polytechnic Institute were damaged.

On the night of July 10, the enemy destroyed the vehicle fleet of the capital’s carrier LLC "Politechavto-B" with a missile strike. Due to the actions of the Russian occupiers, routes 442 and 442D, which are popular in Borshchahivka and Shuliavka, were paralyzed. After the strike by the Russian Federation, there was simply nothing to transport passengers, as all the minibuses were out of service.

This was reported by Kyiv City Council member Oleksandr Tymchenko in the Facebook community "Passengers of Kyiv." He deeply regrets that "Politechavto-B" suffered such a disaster.

"I used these minibuses and I can definitely say that this is an exemplary carrier which others should look up to. The residents of Vidradne know it well and agree with me," Tymchenko wrote.

There was also an announcement on social media, which was photographed by one of the passengers. The carrier warned passengers by hanging up A4 format letters with apologies at bus stops.

"On July 10, a missile hit our garage. Nearly all the buses are damaged. Unfortunately, routes 442 and 442D are currently not in operation," the announcement read.

By the morning of July 11, route No. 442 had resumed operation, but the number of buses on the route was reduced, as reported by "Passengers of Kyiv." Route No. 442D is a circular line with many stops - a total of 21, totaling 11.68 km in length, operating daily from 06:00 to 21:50, with an interval of 4-5 minutes. The line connects the Polytechnic Institute metro station, Politechnic Lane, Borshchahivska, Lubomir Huzar Avenue, Vasylkivska and Gongadze streets, Vaclav Havel Boulevard, Brest Avenue, and the metro stations Beresteiska, Shuliavska, and Politechnic Institute.

Line No. 442 is slightly shorter at 7.24 km, also a circular route from the Politechnic Institute metro station to Harmatna Street then back to the Polytechnic Institute metro station. It operates daily from 06:00 to 23:00 with an interval of 3-5 minutes. The fare for both routes is 15 UAH.
