The time has come for Xi Jinping to meet with Zelenskyy, - Yermak

China may further strengthen its support for Russia in the war by sending its mercenaries to fight against Ukraine, and some of these fighters have already been captured by Ukraine. In such a situation, it is high time for Chinese President Xi Jinping to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was revealed in an interview with the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, in the publication The Times.

Yermak suggested that China is "strengthening its support for Russia in the war by encouraging its soldiers to come to fight in Ukraine as mercenaries." According to him, some of them have already been captured.

"We have their documents. Becoming a mercenary in China is difficult, and no one knows about it," he said.

The head of the Presidential Office also called on the Chinese leader to agree to meet with Zelenskyy for the first time since the full-scale invasion.

"It’s surprising that President Xi never meets with President Zelenskyy. I think the time has come," he added.
