The Ministry of Defence allocates 8 billion hryvnias to the "Drone Line"

This was reported by the Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal on Telegram .

"Following the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, the Ministry of Defence has decided to reallocate funds for the needs of Ukrainian military personnel," Shmyhal wrote.

Specifically, 8 billion UAH will be directed towards urgent needs of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involved in the "Drone Line" project, as well as to strengthen unmanned systems in newly formed units. According to Shmyhal, this will ensure immediate funding for the urgent needs of units such as "Magyar’s Birds", K2, "Rarog", "Achilles", "Nemesis", "Black Forest".

1 billion UAH will be spent on anti-drone protection of evacuation and logistics routes.

"Separately, we are working with partners on financing the "Drone Line" project. As part of a bilateral agreement with the Netherlands, the acquisition of drones from Ukrainian manufacturers is planned. Thanks to this tool, the state "Oschadbank" has already provided bank guarantees for contracts amounting to 837 million euros," added the minister.

As reported, the Ministry of Defence has already provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with over 1 million FPV drones since the beginning of 2025.
