Zelenskyy appointed a new commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

On the occasion of Air Force Day, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, appointed a new Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He announced the respective decision in his address and confirmed it by signing an official decree, reports Channel 24.

The new head of the Air Force is Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko.

"Today, I appointed Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko as the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And most importantly — for the Ukrainian combat aviation and air defense forces to continue developing comprehensively and in effective coordination," the president stated.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of coordination with the General Staff, the Ministry of Defence, partners, and experts to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and achieve victory.
