A judge from Dnipropetrovsk region received a bribe in a bag of apples — NABU

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has announced suspicion to a judge of the city district court in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who is accused of receiving an unlawful benefit.

According to the investigation, the judge issued an acquittal in one of the criminal cases in exchange for a bribe.

An unusual detail of the case was the method of money transfer: photos released by the NABU show a transparent bag with apples, inside of which are dollar bills. It is presumably in such a "container" that the bribe amount was transferred. Its size is not officially disclosed at this time.

The investigation continues.
