The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the breakthrough of Russian troops north of Pokrovsk.

As reported by the spokesperson of the agency, Andriy Kovalyov, Ukrainian units are holding back the offensive, and reserves have already been redeployed to the area to strengthen the defense, attempting to dislodge the enemy from the occupied positions.

«The situation is difficult but under control», — emphasized Kovalyov.

Earlier, a military observer from Bild noted that the elimination of this breakthrough could determine the future fate of the entire Donbas.
