Zelenskyy: Russians struck a gas distribution station in the Odesa region
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that at night, the Russians launched "demonstrative strikes" on Ukraine with over 60 drones and a ballistic missile, including an attack on a gas distribution station in the Odesa region.
"(...) there was a dastardly strike on a gas distribution station in the Odesa region," - he wrote on Telegram on Wednesday.
The President noted that last night, 14 people were injured from a drone strike on Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. A family with injured children - 5 months, 4 years, 6 years old - sought help after the shelling. In Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, a GAB strike damaged five apartment buildings, and at least three people are still under the rubble. A rescue operation is underway. "There were also shellings in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. In total, over 60 drones and a ballistic missile," the report stated.
The President emphasized that these are demonstrative strikes, which only confirm the need for "pressure on Moscow, the need for new sanctions and tariffs."
"All these are demonstrative strikes, which only confirm the need for pressure on Moscow, the need to impose new sanctions and tariffs, until diplomacy works to its full extent. I thank all the partners who help stop this Russian war. Together with the USA, Europe, and everyone who seeks peace, we work daily to ensure security. We need strong security guarantees to provide a truly reliable and lasting peace," Zelenskyy noted.
