Zelenskyy appointed Mykola Tochytskyi as the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing Mykola Tochytskyi as the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe.
The relevant document is published on the website of the head of state.
By another decree, Zelenskyy dismissed Borys Tarasyuk from the position of Ukraine’s representative to the Council of Europe.
Tochitsky previously held this position from 2010 to 2016. After that, he worked in senior diplomatic roles, including as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Belgium from 2016 to 2021, while concurrently serving as Ukraine’s representative to the EU.
From September 2021 to April 2024, Tochitsky served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and from April to September 2024, as Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
For slightly less than a year, Tochitsky worked as the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine in the government of Denys Shmyhal.
