The HACC has suspended the "Trukhanov case" regarding Odesa City Council deputy Oleh Bryndak.

The court granted the defense’s motion and suspended the proceedings due to Bryndak’s mobilization, as he voluntarily enlisted for service back in 2023. The materials related to him have been separated into a separate proceeding, according to the CPC.

Bryndak is one of the 16 defendants in the case concerning the appropriation of property belonging to the Odesa community and money laundering amounting to 689 million UAH. The investigation considers businessman Volodymyr Halanternik as the scheme’s organizer. Among those involved is also the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Bryndak was previously the deputy mayor and was part of his inner circle.
