Once again, 100% initiative with the enemy: Russian forces intensified the offensive in the Novopavlivka direction

After a series of Ukrainian counterattacks, Russian forces once again hold "100% of the initiative" in the Novopavlivka direction. This is reported by Ukrainian military observer Bohdan Miroshnykov.

He notes that Russian offensive actions continue on almost all fronts, and "the situation is very difficult."

"In some places, our forces managed to push the enemy back — that was earlier. These were limited counterattacks aimed at improving positions and preparing a more developed defence along 2–3 lines. So that in the event the enemy completely regains the initiative, our forces are in a better position and prevent serious breakthroughs by the occupiers. We are now in this situation. The occupier once again holds 100% of the initiative," Miroshnykov writes.

He also notes that if Novopavlivka is captured, "we would already be talking about the Pavlohrad direction, as there is open steppe further on, where it is very difficult to defend. And the consequences could be extremely serious."

Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine "are making every effort to ensure that the enemy does not reach operational space." However, Russian attacks will intensify.

"The most dangerous area now is the junction of three regions: Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Dnipropetrovsk. There, the enemy is advancing and has achieved significant success. Considering that the 76th Air Assault Division of the enemy has been transferred specifically to Zaporizhzhya, it becomes clear why this area is a priority for Russia. Obviously, they are very eager to break into the rear of our defenders at Huliaipole," the observer wrote.
