The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their counteroffensive, breaking the "long gut" of Russian troops, - Trehubov

 In the Dobropillya area, Ukrainian military forces continue to conduct a counteroffensive operation.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the operational-strategic group of troops "Dnipro," Viktor Trehubov.

 According to him, in this sector of the front in August, the occupiers infiltrated a large number of small infantry groups through the first line of Ukrainian defence, later consolidated them, and attempted to carry out offensive actions in the direction of Dobropillya.

He noted that these groups stretched into what is called a "long intestine." Currently, Ukrainian defenders are "cutting this intestine" into separate fragments.

Tregubov pointed out that this "intestine" contains manpower and a certain amount of Russian military equipment.

"We very much hope that the Russian personnel will either be captured or destroyed," — he stated.
