Situation on the front: Over 70 enemy attacks repelled in the Pokrovsk direction

In total, over the past day, November 8, 2025, 196 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.

This was reported by the press center of the General Staff.

Strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the past day, the enemy launched one missile strike and 54 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using 41 missiles and dropping 126 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, 5,276 kamikaze drones were deployed for attacks, and 4,697 shelling incidents targeting our troops’ positions and populated areas were carried out, with over 100 of them using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The aggressor conducted airstrikes, in particular, in the areas of Mykolaivka and Kostyantynivka in Donetsk region; Velykomykhailivka and Radisne in Dnipropetrovsk region; Solodke, Zaliznychne, Sofiivka, and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhya region.

Strikes on the enemy

Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck two areas of enemy personnel concentration.

The General Staff reports that the losses of Russian occupiers over the past day amounted to 970 personnel. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed five tanks, one armored combat vehicle, 19 artillery systems, 440 operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, 8 missiles, and 85 units of enemy automotive equipment.

Situation in the North

As reported, 11 combat engagements took place in the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions over the past day. The enemy conducted 11 airstrikes, dropping a total of 23 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 169 shelling incidents, nine of which were with MLRS.

Situation in Kharkiv region

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, 19 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Tykhe, as well as in the direction of Dvorichanske and Kolodiazne.

In the Kupyansk direction, six enemy attacks occurred over the day. The Defence Forces repelled enemy assaults in the direction of Petropavlivka and Pishchane.

Situation in the East

According to the General Staff, in the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to advance three times in the areas of Zarichne, Derylovo, and in the direction of Korovyi Yar.

In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 15 times in the areas of Yampol, Serebrianka, Dronivka, Vyiimka, and Fedorivka.

It is also reported that in the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an enemy offensive in the area of Zaliznyanske.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks near Yablunivka, Shcherbynivka, and in the direction of Sofiivka.

"In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 73 enemy attacks in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Fedorivka, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zelene, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Kotliarivka, Horikhove, and Filiia," the report states.

Situation in the South

According to the General Staff, in the Oleksandrivka direction, the Defence Forces repelled 18 enemy assaults in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Orestopil, Sosnivka, Vorone, Novomykolaivka, Pryvillya, and Krasnohirka.

In the Hulyaipole direction, ten combat engagements took place in the areas of Uspenivka and Novouspenivske.

In the Orikhiv direction, two combat engagements were recorded over the past day – the occupiers attempted to advance in the area of Plavni.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy attack.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings have been detected.

Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the occupiers in terms of personnel and equipment, actively undermining the aggressor’s offensive potential in the rear.
