Ukraine’s energy workers are restoring the TPP of "Centrenergo" after Russian strikes, - Hrynchuk

Ukrainian energy workers have started the restoration of thermal power plants of "Centrenergo," which were halted due to massive Russian strikes.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, Svitlana Hrynchuk, during a conversation with journalists.

She specified that under the management of "Centrenergo," there are two thermal power plants - Zmiyivska and Trypilska.

"There have indeed been damages. Colleagues have already started restoration and repairs. We will not disclose the successes we are planning, but the work on restoration is underway," the minister noted.

Hrynchuk added that, against the backdrop of the war, there are frequent cases when the operation of an energy facility is halted. This even happens manually to prevent additional damage. Only after clearing the debris can energy workers assess the condition of the equipment, determine if it can be restored, and identify which components need replacement.

"Unfortunately, the thermal power plants of ’Centrenergo’ have stopped their operation several times since the beginning of the war, then repair works were carried out - they were restored, and then again (in a cycle - ed.)," the head of the Ministry of Energy pointed out.
