Volodymyr Prodyvus – a criminal authority who befriends rashists

Volodymyr Prodyvus – a very controversial figure. On one hand, he is a successful businessman, athlete, former head of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, and curator of the sport’s development in our country.

But on the other hand, Prodyvus is known as a criminal authority who built his business according to the "laws" of the tumultuous ’90s. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years. But that’s not all. He is also known for his friendship with the rashists, even though a full-scale war has been ongoing in Ukraine for almost a year. What is known about the scandal unfolding in the UBF between Shevchenko and Prodyvus with the rashist Kremlyov? 59-year-old Volodymyr is from the town of Shakhan in Kazakhstan. Businessman, philanthropist, politician, ex-president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation

He is associated with schemes in the amber business and "gray" schemes for controlling cash currency markets. He is one of the "shadow" shareholders of "Sofiysky" bank.

Additionally, Prodyvus is known as a criminal authority with pro-Russian sympathies. But more on that later.

Business and Wealth

According to the businessman himself, he earned his first million 20 years ago. However, within a few years, the media estimated his fortune at $200 million. And in 2010, the "Focus" magazine calculated his wealth to be only $31 million. Interestingly, after this, Prodyvus did not make it into the list of the hundred richest Ukrainians, but in one of his interviews, he claimed he did it consciously to avoid attracting paparazzi.

According to the Opendata information registry, the Vinnytsia businessman owns a whole range of companies.

And this does not count those where he is a director.

Political Games

Prodyvus is a former member of the Party of Regions. At one point, exactly ten years ago, he went into politics and became a member of parliament from the Party of Regions. But in 2014, during the Euromaidan, he very quickly and timely exited the scandalous party’s ranks.

Twice the deputy was noticed button-pushing.

This period of his life can be summed up by the investigation program "Money" with the telling title "Non-deputy activity of Deputy Prodyvus."

He was called a "thief-in-law" and a criminal authority. As you understand, such titles are not given to just anyone. He gained the most criminal fame in Vinnytsia, where he grew up, studied, and started his business. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years in prison for car theft and causing grievous bodily harm under Part 2 and Article 19 of Article 123, Part 2 of Article 193, and Article 215 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. He served his time in the sixth colony.

In May 2014, Prodyvus was involved in a gang shootout in the Rivne forests.

Local residents then accused him of attempting to seize amber deposits. Although the deputy defended himself before the media, saying he was there with good intentions and for the people, he wanted to "talk".

Friendship with Rashists

In January of this year, on the eve of the full-scale war, Prodyvus publicly fraternized with the rashist Umar Kremlyov and even posted a video in which he sent greetings to Ukrainians and Russians, calling them "one Slavic people"... No comments!

In 2020, Prodyvus was present during the submission of the Vinnytsia mayoral candidate from the now-banned OPFL party – boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov. He even participated in the entertainment program jumping rope.

And later that year, he attended the "Medvedchuk’s Ball," or more precisely, the wedding of the stepson of Putin’s godfather.

Scandals of the Authority Volodymyr Prodyvus

This character has managed to light up in many scandals. Here are just a few of them.

- The scandal associated with the Ukrainian Boxing Federation and Prodyvus’s friendship with rashist Umar Kremlyov

Currently, a significant scandal is brewing in the media around the UBF’s leadership. Officially Volodymyr led the Ukrainian Boxing Federation until June 15 of this year, and Kyrylo Shevchenko was appointed in his place.

And recently, Ukraine’s youth and sports minister Vadym Gutzeit commented on the conflict in the UBF, which Kyrylo Shevchenko now leads, but this appointment is categorically disagreed with by V. Prodyvus and the aforementioned rashist Umar Kremlyov.

By the way, nine months ago protests were held under the UBF. 14 regional federations did not recognize Prodyvus as the president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.

Prodyvus and the Amber Scandal

In 2016, a loud scandal erupted involving one of the companies the businessman owns and benefits. It concerns the limited liability company "Mostobud." At that time, Prodyvus was accused of illegal amber mining in the Rivne region.

What is known about this company? LLC "Mostobud" with an authorized capital of one million hryvnias. Prodyvus owns 41% of the company. As of early 2022, the organization has a tax debt of almost 1.6 million hryvnias.

According to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, this company is listed in 1575 documents, many of which are criminal cases.
