Spain, Germany and Britain announced new aid packages: UAVs, armored vehicles and trucks
The UK, together with Latvia, will lead a “coalition of drones”, Germany is providing mine-resistant vehicles and MAN KAT1 A1 trucks, and Spain has announced the supply of various types of weapons for air defense.
Spain is donating M113 armored tracked vehicles and other equipment to Ukraine. Two armored personnel carriers were converted into ambulances. This was stated by the country’s Minister of Defense Margarita Robles at the 19th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, the press service of the Spanish Ministry of Defense reports.
Kyiv will also receive several fire engines, snow removal vehicles and vehicles for transporting personnel. Robles also announced, without details, the supply of various types of weapons for air defense, air-to-air operations and naval operations.
Ukrainian troops are being trained in Spain. The country’s defense minister called the pace of training "very good." Ukrainian soldiers are improving their command of the Patriot, NASAMS and Hawk systems, as well as mastering the planning and conduct of underwater mine clearance.
Germany also announced a military aid package. The country’s Defense Minister Borys Pistorius said that the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, General Carsten Breuer, promised short-term support for Ukraine in the amount of more than 100 million euros to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. This was reported by the press service of the German Ministry of Defense.

I am proud to announce that the UK and Latvia will jointly lead an international coalition to develop Ukraine’s vital drone capabilities,” said British Defense Secretary Grant Shepps.
