NATO countries plan to transfer one million drones to Ukraine - Stoltenberg

A group of NATO countries will transfer a million unmanned aerial vehicles to the Ukrainian armed forces. The transfer will be carried out within the framework of military assistance.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this on Thursday, February 15, during a press conference following a meeting of NATO defense ministers. According to him, this will help save Ukrainian lives.

He noted that today, February 15, a regular meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place. During it, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, informed partners about the situation on the front line, and the Alliance member states emphasized the importance of further support for our country.

Stoltenberg also said that in the last few days, Canada, Finland and Norway have announced new packages of military assistance to Ukraine. They will include equipment and spare parts for F-16 fighters, as well as air defense systems to protect against Russian aircraft and missile attacks.

“A group of allies is uniting with the goal of supplying a million drones for Ukraine. Twenty NATO member countries have also agreed to create a coalition for mine clearance. All this will help save the lives of Ukrainians,” the secretary general added.
