Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Russian T-90M Proryv tank with a drone drop

Ukrainian defenders from the Shadow aerial reconnaissance unit showed how they destroyed the Russian vaunted T-90M Proryv tank. It was possible to hit enemy armored vehicles by accurately dropping a grenade into a hatch.

The explosive video was published on March 30 in the unit’s Telegram channel. The military noted that the drones used to target hostile targets were purchased with donations from Ukrainians.

“Thank you for your donations, with the funds raised we purchased four DJI Mavic 3 Pro drones and they are already working. Reconnaissance, artillery adjustments and drops are your merit. You help, we destroy the enemies,” the message says.

The video footage shows how a UAV of Ukrainian soldiers accurately drops a grenade directly into the tank hatch.

As a result, the T-90M was engulfed in fire.

Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov said that the defenders on this section of the front failed to pull the tank back to their positions, so it was destroyed.

Let us recall that earlier Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin called the newest T-90M Proryv tank “the best in the world,” however, they have already been repeatedly destroyed by Ukrainian defenders at the front.

Several of them were hit by hand grenade launchers, which, according to experts , indicates that the tank’s active protection system is not effective in all cases. The bottom of the turret and the gun mantlet were vulnerable to anti-tank shells and ATGMs.

At the same time, some experts consider the main reason for the losses of the T-90AM without infantry support. In total, about a hundred units of such tanks were produced in the Russian Federation.
