SSU detained Russian agent preparing attacks on "Ukrzaliznytsia" facilities in Chernihiv region

Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in Chernihiv who was preparing a missile attack on Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in the region. On the instructions of his handlers, the traitor, who turned out to be an employee of UZ, was supposed to check intelligence on the transportation of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the east.

The press service of the SSU reported this on April 1. It is noted that the counterintelligence of the Ukrainian special service thwarted the enemy’s attempt to inflict fire on UZ’s strategic facilities.

As a result of a special operation in Chernihiv, a traitor was detained who was preparing a missile attack on the railway line connecting the northern and eastern regions of Ukraine.

Another potential enemy target was platforms for cargo service of mobile warehouses.

The agent had to check Russian intelligence on the possible use of the railway line to move military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

To do this, he secretly tracked the movement of the trains, and also recorded the directions of their routes and stopping places.

The person involved had to remotely transmit the received data to the curator in the form of coordinates of the railway branch and freight service points of rolling stock, confirmed with photographs of the objects.

The enemy needed this information for a missile attack on the infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia and disruption of the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

However, the SSU prevented the transfer of the intelligence “report” to Russian intelligence thanks to the timely exposure of the traitor and his detention while performing an enemy mission.

He turned out to be an employee of the local division of Ukrzaliznytsia, an ideological supporter of the “Russian world”.
