EU ambassadors have allegedly already agreed on a draft bilateral agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in continuation of the G7 declaration on “security guarantees”; they plan to finalize it by the end of June.

The German Die Welt reports this, citing its sources.

The editors of Welt am Sonntag claim to have a draft text, which is being negotiated between Kyiv and the European External Action Service. Ambassadors from the 27 member countries have allegedly already agreed on the 11-page document.

The material notes that the EU wants to complete work on the agreement by early July at the latest.

The draft text contains provisions that the EU undertakes, in the event of a new aggression against Ukraine, to hold consultations on its needs within 24 hours.

The EU also promises to provide further supplies of military assistance, help with military training, mine clearance, reforms in the defense sector, cooperate in countering hybrid threats and cyber attacks, and help with reconstruction.

Allegedly, there is a separate provision that excludes direct participation in hostilities by “military EU countries.”
