In Lviv Region, an attempt to smuggle cigarettes to Poland using drones was uncovered

Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv Region have documented an attempt to illegally smuggle tobacco products to the Republic of Poland.

It has been established that residents of Lviv Region — a father and son — attempted to send nearly 3,000 packs of cigarettes without excise tax stamps abroad. For this purpose, they used three drones of the «airplane» type.

During the inspection of the scene, cigarettes, 23 drone batteries, a laptop, a remote control, flash drives with GPS routes, and other equipment used to organize the smuggling were seized.
