The lights will be turned off in Ukraine until generation resumes.
The head of Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, announced this during a telethon.
“Under these conditions, the lights will be turned off until generation resumes. And this will take months, provided that there are no new shellings,” said the head of Ukrenergo.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi noted that this week, in summer, autumn and winter, Ukrainians need to be prepared for the fact that shutdown schedules may be applied.
“We are now in a situation where we have a very strong energy production deficit. Power plants cannot be quickly restored after such heavy damage from missiles. Therefore, shortages will arise from time to time. We all need to be prepared for this,” added the head of Ukrenergo.
