NACP checked the declarations of 541 TRC officials: signs of corruption were noticed in 8

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption checked the declarations of 541 TRC management officials, 8 of them showed signs of violations; materials on these people were handed over to law enforcement officers, said Anastasiya Radina, chairman of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy in the Verkhovna Rada.

Direct speech from the people’s deputy: “The check of the condition of TRC and MMC employees continues. Together with colleagues in the anti-corruption committee, the NAPC heard about the results of work in this area.

Currently, the NACP has checked a third of the TRC management officials (541 out of approximately 1,700 people, according to the agency).

NAPC handed over materials on eight TRC employees to law enforcement agencies. They collectively revealed signs of illegal enrichment worth 265 million hryvnia, unsubstantiated assets worth 6 million hryvnia, and unreliable data in the declaration amounting to 7 million hryvnia.”

According to Radina, the lifestyle of 28 more is being monitored and the declarations of 5 more TRC management officials are being fully verified. She emphasized that “at least two declarations of TRC employees received a higher risk score than tens of thousands of declarations of other officials from different bodies.”

According to the people’s deputy, the largest case in terms of assets based on NACP materials concerns the notorious head of the Odesa OTRC Yevhen Borysov, who was informed last year of suspicion of illegal enrichment in the amount of more than 188 million hryvnia.

Another person involved is the deputy head of one of the TRCs, who collected about 400,000 hryvnia on his personal bank card from various military personnel and probably spent it on his own needs. Now the investigation is looking into this.

“The remaining findings of the NACP concern signs of corruption offenses among representatives of the TRC of Odesa, Sambir, Poltava, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhya. The investigation, in accordance with the jurisdiction, is carried out by specialized prosecutors’ offices in the field of defense, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the National Police. Cases on the confiscation of probably unfounded assets are being conducted by the SAPO. Establishing the truth there will be a trial in every case,” Radina said.

She noted that all this monitoring was carried out by “only 11 NAPC employees.”
