Zelenskyy arrived in Switzerland to participate in the Peace Summit
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Switzerland, where the Peace Summit will take place over the next few days. In total, about a hundred countries and international organisations will take part in the meeting.
This was reported in the Telegram channel of the President of Ukraine.
“I arrived in Switzerland for the Global Peace Summit. There are two days ahead of active work with countries from all over the world, with different peoples, who, however, are united by a common goal - to bring a just and lasting peace for Ukraine closer,” the president wrote.
According to Zelenskyy, the Peace Summit will allow taking concrete steps in:
- nuclear and food security;
- the return of prisoners of war and all persons deported by the enemy, including children.
In total, about 100 countries and international organizations will take part in the meeting.
“As a responsible global majority, together we must make every effort to put an end to wars, aggressions and colonial occupations and prevent their recurrence. I am confident that all the people of the world want a just world and respect for every nation,” he added.
Zelenskyy noted that during the Peace Summit, each country and organization will be able to demonstrate its leadership in achieving common goals, which will bring peace closer and restore the full force of the United Nations (UN) Charter.
