The multi-storey buildings of Vovchansk were almost completely destroyed.

In Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, the front line was stabilized along the Vovcha River. There are street battles in the city around the clock. This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Syniehubov.

“Active defense continues. The front line has been stabilized along the Vovcha River for almost a month. Street battles are going on around the clock. Our soldiers are focused on the maximum destruction of enemy manpower and military equipment. They are also trying to improve their tactical position,” says Syniehubov.

According to him, in Vovchansk there are battles for every street and every house.

According to RMA information, about 50 people remain in Vovchansk. In the part of the city controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, almost all civilians left. The national police, together with our military, are conducting door-to-door visits.

“There is greater concern regarding the territory that is under the control of the occupation forces, since there are definitely people there. And they are in an extremely difficult situation and conditions. Because they did not want to leave there in time for completely different reasons. Now I will not dwell on them. Full information will only be after de-occupation,” Syniehubov said.

The number of civilians killed by shelling and killed by Russian occupiers could be in the dozens. But more accurate information will become known again after de-occupation.

“However, according to our data, these are dozens of people - given the degree of destruction of the city, and the fact that people remained there. Videos of the military from copters give reason to believe so,” said the head of the RMA.

According to him, the multi-storey buildings of the city are almost completely destroyed.

Meanwhile, while the offensive continues in the north of the region, the situation in the Kupyansk region has not changed: the Russians have not relaxed their pressure, the direction of action is not changing.

Syniehubov assured that in the Kharkiv direction the front line has been stabilized, and further advance of the enemy inland is not allowed. But the situation remains tense and difficult.

“Because the Russian troops, realizing that they need to continue to put pressure, despite the failure, are forced to pull up reserves - from the Sumy direction and even from the Kupyansk direction. We are also checking the information that there are also units deployed from the Kherson direction,” he said.
