Diya is preparing five new services

The Ministry of Digital Development will soon introduce new services in Diya, such as online marriage registration, electronic booking, automatic retrieval of certificates, display of weapons permits and Diya.Signature for legal entities. This will significantly simplify bureaucratic processes, reduce corruption and make interaction with the government more convenient.

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in a media commentary. “Currently, the Ministry of Digital Development team has more than 100 services at different stages of readiness,” Fedorov noted.

Marriage online

One of the most innovative services will be the ability to get married online. This service, the first in the world, allows you to get married in a few clicks through the Diya application. Beta testers can already use the service, and 5 couples have already gotten married this way.

In "Diya" this process works as follows: the couple submits an application, certifies it with a "Diya. Signature", and then connects to a video conference with the GRAGS registrar to undergo the wedding ritual in an online format. The marriage registration certificate can be ordered by Ukrposhta delivery or courier. “The service will be available to all Ukrainians in the near future,” Fedorov noted.

Electronic booking

The Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Defence are working on electronic booking services. This service eliminates the human factor and speeds up the process from several weeks to an hour.

According to Fedorov, the service will be available to critical enterprises and those that meet the needs of the Defence Forces, but in the future the list of enterprises will expand. Digitalization of bookings will allow decisions to be made automatically through several automated checks.

Certificates of birth, marriage, divorce, change of personal data

The minister also announced that soon “Diya” will automatically upload birth certificates for children, marriage certificates, divorce certificates and name changes. These documents will be needed when applying for a job, confirming a change of name, or applying for benefits.

Now in "Dіya" you can improve the certificate of a minor child. Consequently, with the new service, birth certificates of even adult children will be available.

Weapon Permit Display

The Unified Register of Weapons has been operating in Ukraine for more than a year. It was created by the Home Office and contains information about registered weapons.

According to Fedorov, the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are working to ensure that information about a weapons permit is displayed in the Diya application. It was also possible to order an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons in a few clicks.

"Diya.Signature" for legal entities

“This is a new approach to digital signature. They blinked their eyes and signed a document, logged in to the website or confirmed the purchase of train tickets,” notes Fedorov. According to him, the next step is the introduction of “Diya.Signature” for legal entities.

This will speed up business, simplify processes and make the actions of entrepreneurs more transparent. The government has already adopted a corresponding resolution, and the Ministry of Digital Development team is working on developing functionality.
