Zelenskyy and Trump agreed to meet

He noted that “agreement in principle” was recorded for the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump.

“We have discussed certain periods of time when this meeting could take place, but it is too early to talk about this. These teams will already work and coordinate schedules and details when this may be possible,” the press secretary said.

When asked whether a US presidential candidate could come to Ukraine, Nikiforov said: “It’s too early to talk about it. It was indeed discussed when this (meeting - Ed.) should happen, and where it should happen, but the specifics are very premature - and format, and time, and place."

As Nikiforov noted, Zelenskyy called on Trump not to trust representatives of those countries who are trying to explain or somehow justify the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

According to him, the President of Ukraine told Trump about the Russian strike on Nikolaev on July 19, as well as about the shelling of the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv.

“Trump said, this is his trademark phrase, not to believe fake news that his victory in the elections could be beneficial to Russia. He called this thesis fake news and urged not to believe it,” Nikiforov added.
