Situation at the front: 68 combat clashes recorded since the beginning of the day

According to the General Staff, today, in the border areas of northern Ukraine, the areas of Starykove, Ulanove, Bachevsk, Khodynove, Fotovizh, Holubivka, Slavgorod, Porozok and Popivka were damaged by enemy artillery and mortar fire. In addition, the occupiers carried out bombardments, dropping almost three dozen UAVs in the areas of Svesa, Druzhba, Pervomayske, Stepanivka, Esman, Studenok and Yastrubyne.

As of 16:00 on 25 August, 68 combat engagements were registered in the frontline since the beginning of the day.

In the Kharkiv sector, three hostile attacks took place near Lyptsi and Vovchansk, where fighting is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted seven attacks in the direction of Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka and Synkivka. Three firefights are currently underway.

In the Lyman sector, 13 combat engagements started. The enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka, Proletarske, Pershotravneve, Novosadove, Torske and Nevske. The enemy was the most active near the latter, conducting five attacks, and the fighting continues.

In the Siversky sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped five enemy attacks near Verkhnekamianske, Spirne and Vyymka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invading army was advancing towards Spirne, Chasovyi Yar and Andriivka. A total of six firefights took place, one of which is still ongoing. The occupants fired three times at Hryhorivka and Chasovyi Yar with NARs, launching about two dozen of these aerial missiles.

In the Toretsk sector, the invaders attacked four times, near Toretsk and Nelipovka. All attacks were repelled.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russians carried out 17 assault operations in seven different localities. 11 of these attacks took place near Kalynove and Novohrodivka, where the enemy also used Ka-52 helicopters to attack.

"Ukrainian defence forces are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and repelled a total of 13 attacks, four combat engagements are ongoing. The enemy also dropped KABs on the areas of Oleksandropol and Halytsynivka," the statement said.

In the Kurakhove sector, the invaders attacked 10 times near Karlivka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions near Vodiane three times, receiving a fierce rebuff. They fired twice from multiple rocket launchers at Vuhledar.

In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, the occupiers, using aircraft, carried out two air strikes on the areas of Zherebyany and Tokarivka. No assaults were carried out.
