KCMA: Air defence destroyed a dozen drones and several missiles near Kyiv

Air defence forces destroyed about a dozen drones and several missiles near Kyiv, said Serhiy Popko, head of the KCMA.

"In general, air defense forces and resources have destroyed about a dozen and a half attack drones and several missiles since the beginning of this day (the exact number and type of air targets will be reported by the Air Force). Everything that was flying toward the capital of Ukraine has been destroyed."

He noted that this night the Russian attack was again combined – the invaders carried out an attack with drones, as well as ballistic, cruise and aeroballistic missiles.

In Kyiv, the air raid alarm was announced 4 times since the beginning of the day and lasted for more than 5 hours. Initially, it was associated with a drone attack. Drones entered the city in waves and in different directions.

At approximately 3 a.m., the Russians raised several MiG-31K aircraft, which fired Kinzhal missiles over the Kyiv region towards the western regions of Ukraine.

"Several enemy Tu-95MS strategic bombers took off at the same time. Preliminary, Kh-101 cruise missiles from these aircraft attacked Kyiv at about 5 a.m. The air strike, like yesterday, again ended with waves of attacks by loitering munitions," Popko reported.
