Defence forces shot down 12 enemy UAVs overnight

The Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, reported this on Telegram .

According to him, on the night of August 30, the enemy attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied Crimea and 18 Shahed-131/136 type attack UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk areas.

The operation involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare systems and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 12 Shahed-131/136 attack drones were shot down, and four more were lost due to circumstances (they fell on their own).

Air defense was in effect in the Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Sumy regions.
