In Zaporizhzhya, the railway infrastructure came under shelling

As a result of the shelling of the Zaporizhzhya-1 station, the station and train cars were damaged, but there were no casualties. Trains have been redirected to Zaporizhzhya-2 station, and passengers will be transported by shuttle buses.

This became known from a message from Ukrzaliznytsia. Due to new shelling by Russian forces, the station building at Zaporizhzhya-1 was damaged, as well as the windows of train No. 39, which was on the Zaporizhzhya – Solotvyno route.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties among passengers and railway workers. Due to the damage to the Zaporizhzhya-1 station, several railway routes have been redirected to another station—Zaporizhzhya-2.

To facilitate passenger movement between the stations, transfer buses have been introduced, which will transport people from Zaporizhzhya-1 to Zaporizhzhya-2, where trains will be waiting for them. This will ensure convenient boarding without delays and allow passengers to continue their journey without unnecessary difficulties. The redirected routes are as follows:

  • train No. 37 Kyiv – Zaporizhzhya-1 will arrive at Zaporizhzhya-2 station;
  • train No. 85 Lviv – Zaporizhzhya-1 also changes its final stop and will arrive at Zaporizhzhya-2;
  • departure of train No. 128 Zaporizhzhya-1 – Lviv will be from Zaporizhzhya-2 station.

In addition, in train No. 40 Zaporizhzhya – Solotvyno, which had several damaged cars, railway workers promptly replaced the damaged cars. The departure of the train is planned within an hour, which will avoid significant delays in movement and maintain the transportation schedule.

Ukrzaliznytsia apologizes for the forced changes and delays, noting that all decisions were made for safety reasons. The company is doing everything possible to minimize inconveniences for passengers, maintaining the operation of railway infrastructure even during wartime conditions.
