The meeting in the "Ramstein" format with the participation of country leaders will not take place

The meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group ("Ramstein" format) with the participation of country leaders will not take place.

This is stated in the publication ZDF.

According to the published information, U.S. President Joe Biden plans to arrive in Germany on Thursday for a visit that was previously postponed due to Hurricane "Milton".

During this visit, as noted, the program will be significantly shortened and limited to just one day – Friday, October 18.

As the TV channel notes, this means that the "Ramstein" format meetings will not take place in the near future.

Meanwhile, there is currently no confirmation of this information from other sources.

The TV channel also reported that the aid package from Germany, which was supposed to be announced at the "Ramstein" meeting on October 12, was announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyt on Friday.

As ZDF journalist Elmar Thevessen noted, further decisions in the "Ramstein" format are likely to be made only after the results of the U.S. presidential elections.
