Throughout the week, Ukrainian sappers neutralized about 2000 explosive devices

The demining team of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues to clear liberated territories of dangerous remnants of war.

This information is reported by the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.

During the past week, from October 18 to 25, 2024, the following areas were surveyed and cleared:

• 4,857.68 hectares of territory;
• 4,717.35 hectares of agricultural land;
• 2.74 km of power lines;
• 9.61 km of roads.

The work is being carried out using specialized equipment for mechanized demining.

During the week, 1,938 dangerous items were removed and neutralized. In total, the demining team of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has detected and destroyed 409,607 explosive remnants of war (data for the previous period has been updated).
