The Council of the EU has adopted a decision to provide Ukraine with over 1.8 billion euros in financial support under the Ukraine Facility program.

This was stated in a message from the Council of the EU.

As noted, this amount reflects Ukraine’s successful completion of nine steps required for receiving the fifth tranche, as well as one unfulfilled step from the fourth tranche.

The funding is primarily aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s macro-financial stability and supporting the uninterrupted functioning of its public administration.

Payments under the Ukraine Facility are closely linked to the "Ukraine Plan," which outlines the strategy for Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, and modernization, as well as a timeline for implementing reforms aligned with the country’s EU accession goals in the coming years.

Since the Ukraine Facility came into effect, Ukraine has already received 6 billion euros in interim financing, 1.89 billion euros in pre-financing, and four tranches amounting to approximately 4.2, 4.1, 3.5, and 3.2 billion euros respectively.
