In Kharkiv, an entrepreneur who "has connections in the MSEC" has been arrested

On Thursday, November 13, in Kharkiv, law enforcement officers detained another dealer who "has connections in the MSEC." He was offering to arrange a disability group for a bribe.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. It is noted that he planned to receive 15,000 US dollars for arranging a second group disability. However, law enforcement officers detained the man during the transfer of the agreed amount. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect is being decided.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv Region, a 54-year-old man has been suspected of "Receiving undue benefit for oneself and a third party for influencing the decision-making by persons authorized to perform state functions, combined with extortion of such a benefit" (part 3 of article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the law enforcement statement said.

According to the investigation, in October 2024, a Kharkiv resident learned during a conversation with his acquaintance that he had lost his military identification document. The man offered "assistance" to his friend: the discussion was about evading mobilization. He stated that he could arrange documents for his friend to remove him from military registration. The dealer also added that he has connections in the MSEC and other bodies.

The figure explained that to begin with, it is necessary to arrange the status of an internally displaced person in the Kharkiv district and later renew the temporary military ID. The final "step": obtaining a second group disability due to "having had a COVID disease."

Other individuals involved in the mentioned criminal case, including MSEC and TRC employees, are being identified.
