At the site of the assassination attempt on the director of the Forensic Science Institute, evidence was found
As previously reported, in Kyiv, on Tymoshenka Street in Obolon, an unknown assailant shot the director of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice, Oleksandr Ruvin. Ruvin received gunshot wounds to his legs and is currently in the hospital.
This was reported on his Facebook page by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Artem Shevchenko.
The director of the Research Institute was shot near his home.
The police assured that the victim’s life is not in danger. Law enforcement officers have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 (attempted premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Acting Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv Oleksandr Tereshchuk stated that law enforcement officials already have information about the perpetrators who shot the director of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Oleksandr Ruvin.
"We have information about the perpetrators, we will process it, and by the first half, as much as possible, we will provide it on air so that, if possible, TV channels can also assist in solving the crime," Tereshchuk told the channel "112 Ukraine".
He also noted that certain physical evidence was found, which he did not disclose.
