The situation around Velyka Novosilka: Russian forces are entrenching, threatening the southern direction

The situation in the area of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region is escalating.

According to the Ukrainian military public source DeepState, the capture of the village of Blahodatne allowed Russian troops to strengthen their positions on the eastern flank, extending the defence line all the way to Rozdolne.

Despite the successful counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during which they managed to push the enemy out of Novyi Komar — a key point for the supply of Velyka Novosilka, Russia continues to attack this direction with small groups.

In the south, the situation also remains tense. After the loss of Blahodatne, the positions around Makarivka are weakened, creating a threat of bypassing Velyka Novosilka from the south.

In the captured territories, Russian troops are actively entrenching and reinforcing defensive lines, indicating preparation for prolonged battles in this area.
