DIU: Units of the DPRK army are being replenished after losses in assaults in the Kursk region

Military units from North Korea, which were assigned to Russian forces, are forced to replenish after losses in attacks on the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The aggressor country plans to continue involving them in such attacks.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The agency emphasized that the North Korean army has irreversible and sanitary losses, as well as missing persons.

They suffered these during December 14 and 15, 2024, in the areas of the villages of Plekhove, Vorozhba, and Martynivka, located in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region.

According to DIU data, it concerns at least 30 North Korean soldiers who were killed or wounded.

In addition, at least three North Korean servicemen went missing in the area of the village of Kurylovka.

"Due to the losses, assault groups are being replenished with fresh personnel, including from the 94th separate brigade of the North Korean army, to continue active combat operations in the Kursk region," – noted DIU.
